Ainesis Conceptz Introduces the Dear Dancer Project

Ainesis Conceptz Introduces the Dear Dancer Project

After the just concluded World Dance Day on April 29, Ainesis has launched its “Dear Dancer” project to sensitize dancers and members of the public on the importance of staying healthy as a dancer. Esta Richard Etim, lifestyle fitness coach and creative director of Ainesis has sent an open letter to all dancers and members of the public.

A letter from Esta Richard Etim

to you

“About two months ago, we lost yet another dancer to kidney failure and the pain was deep because his kidney did not fail in one day. The process must have started years ago and his lifestyle, including food choices, stress, dehydration, unending hours of dance rehearsal time and a bunch of ‘friends’ who didn’t care enough to point him towards self care and proper medication, [added to his health challenges].

[After his sad demise], we decided to do something about it rather than mourn, wipe our tears afterwards and possibly get over his death in a couple of months. This gave birth to the Dear Dancer Project. The Dear Dancer project is aimed at pointing dancers towards preventive and alternative medicine, including imbibing an overall healthy lifestyle. Because dancers train hard and burn calories constantly, they tend to pay less attention to their food, rest and lifestyle in general. They even sometimes tend to misconstrue being physically fit for being healthy. The emphasis of the project is to shed light on the many possible grey areas on health and fitness especially as pertaining to dancers because of their constant physical activity, and to encourage them to be more deliberate in their choices, even down to their circle of influence (relationships). The project started 25th May and ends July 27th.

We have had a lot of questions and interactions from dancers all over the world on the subject matter, and we are happy with the reception it received.

For us, this is just a starting point, we are open to travel and share these findings with dancers all over the world and still seek creative ways to pass this message across as often as possible. Ainesis is looking to launch her foundation soon and this [Dear Dancer project] would be one of its foremost projects.

Regards,

Esta”
