A Step at a Time

A Step at a Time

It is sweet to have dreams; a desire achieved is always a joy to the soul. The feeling of euphoria that we experience when we accomplish our goals is proportionate to the effort we invest in those lofty goals. Passing semester exams are not as fulfilling, perhaps, as coming out with a first class degree in a particularly tough course. But as good as it is to achieve our goals systematically, it is safe to assume, judging by the rather high levels of frustration and desperation we encounter in society, it is important to take a step-wise step in stepping towards our desired goals.

With each passing moment new developments take place across the globe; innovations spring up every day; what used to be chic yesterday is now out of date, we have upped the ante in transportation, from camel-riding to chariots to supersonic jet travel; to the extent that the latest buzz is to make our dwelling in Mars or Pluto or whichever planet takes our fancy. These are opportunities that have been tapped to the benefit of humanity, this never came overnight, it took series of steps.

In the area of challenges, we have developed faster, more ruthless ways of killing ourselves.Terrorism has now become a menace over boundaries. What all these means is that we must be open-minded to better ways of achieving our goals, we must be receptive always to new ideas in the new steps we take if we are to survive in these rapidly changing times.

There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs. One step at a time, but step wisely.

One step at a time, but step wisely.
