DEAR EVE(I WILL WAIT)

Dear Eve.,
I know we haven’t met yet but
At night the organs of my thoughts bed wet with fear
Every morning i mourn
With torn robes of my heart
And ashes covering the scalp of my skull i wonder
Why teens like us bury ourselves in a casket of false love
Six feet beneath the grounds of lies, deceit and immaturity
Telling ourselves that we’re old enough for love
Only to repeatedly betray our consciences
Until we find out that love and lust are just two different words that make two different sentences

Now,
I must confess
Like CHRIST I’ve been tempted
With photocopies of you who try to imitate you
But yet rejected by the gatekeepers of my heart because they want tour original

But i,
I choose to wait for you
To eclipse my eyes to the false you’s
that invade the temple of my eye’s day and night
I pledge with a crossed heart that CHRIST
Shall be my first aid kit when ever I’m emotionally wounded

To find solace in the beauty of his touch
To cuddle my self in the warmth of his words through cold nights and winter days
Until i locate the safety in your arms
I will wait for you

To fix my compass on the map of patience
And even though my hormones moan for Jezebel
Against you i won’t rebel
Cos just like Jacob you shall be my Rachel

You see,
It took him 14yrs to get her
But eve even if i serve x2 of he
I won’t go into Leah
Like Joseph i will flee
Am a prisoner
Only to be free when i see you

Till the day i stare into the pupil of your eyes to tell you that”I LOVE YOU”
As your breath shall remain a signature fragrance on my skin

I pray i find you as solemn as Mary
And you shall find me
Where the wisdom of Solomon is accompanied by the strength of Sampson
and the dignity of Joseph pursues the deep humility of Jesus

Ready to willingly give myself up for you as he gave himself u for the Church His bride
As those lashes rumpled the freshness of our Saviours Smooth soft skin
The lashes of our love shall whip the flesh of our pride
Leaving me with scars of obedience all to the will of CHRIST

Till those rings permit the tip of my lips to be baptized by yours
I shall steadfastly starve myself so i shall get full the night i taste the fruit from your vine
Till the warmth of my hands collide with the smoothness of your skin
I will wait

unnamed

Till my frigid soul locates the beauty in your smiles
We will drown the Pharaoh’s of our love
In the sea of our unity
And our hearts shall forever beat to the soundtrack of youthfulness even when wrinkles invade the territory of our skin.

So here i stand ,
Like a wrapped Xmas gift waiting to be opened by you
Cos only you possesses the key to the doors of my heart
I promise to diligently sustain my decency and even in insanity
I will wait for you
So till then Stay safe
See you in the future
